Beech wood tar is the ideal lure for wild boar and red deer, which is used on wallows and painting trees. The tar is attached to the painting tree, for example, at a height of 50-100 cm. The bait is best applied in the form of horizontal stripes. A kind of beech tar film then forms as a result of a slow downward flow, which is accepted by wild boar. The bait has a strong attraction for wild boar and red deer, so that wild animals are attracted even from great distances.

A disadvantage of beech tar is often that the tar is viscous and very sticky, especially in the winter months when temperatures are low. The beech tar fluid contains quality beech tar as its main component and is formulated in such a way that it can be used all year round without any problems, especially at low temperatures of down to minus 15°C.
