There is probably no shotgun cartridge in the world that could compete with the new OpalMagnum in caliber 12/76. Armed with a 43.0 g (666 grs/1 ½ oz) projectile, it has extraordinarily impressive energy values. With a V0 of 491 m/s, that is 5,184 joules. Even at a distance of 100 m, the OpalMagnum still achieves 2,173 joules. With a grouping of less than 10 cm for 5 shots at 100 m, the precision is far above average. The wide ribs pointing to the left are used for optimal transmission of the spin. As a result, this special cartridge is primarily suitable for firing from rifled shotgun barrels. However, it can also be fired from shotguns with cylinder barrels without any problems. It must not be used in barrels with any type of choke due to the shape of its ribs. The bullet head is coated to reduce lead abrasion in the barrel. Due to its high impact energy, the OpalMagnum is primarily suitable for driven hunts and hunting heavy hoofed game as well as well-fortified large game such as buffalo or lions.

The OpalMagnum must not be used in barrels with a choke.
