Federal hunting ammunition in .45/70 Government caliber. The Hammer Down is loaded with a 300 grs composite lead core bullet. It retains a high residual weight during deformation. The charge was adapted to the usual barrel lengths of lever-action rifles.
The Terminal Ascent composite bullet is a modern bullet for medium and heavy game with a high BC value. Relief grooves, polymer tip in deep cavern and boattail are further features. The Terminal Ascent deforms very reliably, even over long distances. The cases and projectiles are nickel-plated.
