Gastrock has been manufacturing walking sticks since 1868 and is now in its sixth generation of family ownership. Since then, the product range has been continuously developed both technically and aesthetically, without losing sight of the company's roots.
Hunting is driven by a passion for one of humanity's oldest passions. To be constantly prepared for all challenges as a hunter, one needs people and innovations that drive this passion forward – the Gastrock family are among these people, who have been producing and continuously improving traditional, high-quality hunting companions for many generations of hunters, drawing on their accumulated experience.

Craftsmanship

The craftsmanship of walking stick making, mastered by Gastrock, is and remains something truly special. More than 30 steps are required to create a finished walking stick. Cleaning the wood, softening it with steam, bending it while hot, straightening it, sanding, polishing, flame-treating it, and varnishing it: all of this is part of the process and still defines Gastrock's daily work. The expertise is carefully preserved and passed on with great care.

Special sticks

Herzensangelegenheit is the name of the company that manufactures robust and solid hunting sticks. The lovingly crafted shooting sticks with genuine staghorn forks, as well as the "Praktus" and "Pirschsitz" hunting seat sticks, are very well-known and widely used among hunters due to their robustness and traditional design.
Gastrock outdoor products are among the premium items in this Markt category. The production of natural walking sticks from local woods – sourced from their own plantation – is the company's foundation. The high-quality, natural craftsmanship remains a hallmark of the brand to this day.

• Local support – the processed wood is primarily selected and purchased from the surrounding forests.
• Own plantation – a large proportion of the raw materials are harvested from our own plantation, which covers approximately eight hectares and is located in the immediate vicinity of the production facility, especially for natural stock production (chestnut, ash, hazel, blackthorn, sour cherry, oak).
• Short transport routes – by using the shortest possible transport routes, Gastrock reduces its CO₂ footprint
• Energy efficiency – the wood waste is shredded and 100% fed into the company's energy budget.
