MOS - Modular Optic System Configuration
To simplify the assembly of common optical sights, GLOCK engineers have developed the Modular Optic System. Optical sights improve accuracy at short and long distances, enabling faster target changes and faster target acquisition. MOS configuration is the best choice to hit your target. GLOCK pistol models in standard MOS configuration are supplied with 4 numbered GLOCK MOS adapter plates to simplify the installation of common optical sights.

The design is based on a Modular Back Strap (MBS) frame with a built-in short frame control block and allows the shooter to change the circumference of the frame and adapt it to the respective hand size. Replacing the handle shells is very quick and easy. When using an optional grip scale, the grip angle is not changed, which eliminates any deviation from the usual hit pattern. In addition, the grip and the interchangeable grip scales have a roughened surface (Gen4 RTF surface) that improves the grip when shooting.

The magazine holder can be changed and the support surface is enlarged and, if necessary, can also be attached to the right side of the pistol without using additional parts. The Gen4 models are also equipped with a tandem recoil spring, which reduces recoil and increases spring life.

The Modular Optic System (MOS) allows the user to use the pistol together with an electronic sight. Four adapter plates for mounting common optical systems are included in the scope of delivery:
