Tips for dealing with the Heintges Flashcards
- Look closely at the picture and read the back. Repeat what you read from memory.
- Pick up the card again the next day or the day after (forgetting curve). Look at the front and remember the contents of the back. Read the back again and mark any content you missed if necessary.
- Sort the flashcards. To do this, place the cards on top that you keep having problems with. Repeat this content several times. You can put the easier cards further back and only work on them occasionally.
- Self-test: Draw cards at random from the stack and test your knowledge of the respective illustration.
- Use in learning groups: The group thinks about the illustration on a learning card and collects their knowledge together. This knowledge is then checked based on the information on the back and corrected or supplemented if necessary. This is a good exercise to prepare for the oral exam.
