Thermal imaging devices from the Hikmicro Falcon series can detect heat differences in the range of less than 20 millikelvin (<20 mK) - so far, a value of 35 mK for thermal imaging optics used for hunting was the measure of all things in terms of heat sensitivity of sensors and thus the image quality.
The HIKMICRO FALCON FQ35 handheld monocular thermal imager is equipped with a 640x512 px infrared detector (12 μm) and an OLED display (1024x768 px). The high-end thermal sensor has an excellent temperature resolution in order to reproduce the thermal image in a pin-sharp and high-contrast manner. The thermal imaging camera supports observation functions, hotspots, etc. With a long detection range of 1,800 m and a very large field of view of 22 m at 100 m, more details can be captured. Image Pro, the image processing algorithm developed in-house by HIKMICRO, ensures maximum digital image optimization depending on the observation purpose and offers a high-quality display of both the target objects and the background.
The robust housing is made of magnesium and the lenses have a high-quality coating. For better handling and ease of use, the new, ergonomic design in a cylindrical shape and the matching design of the controls have been reworked. The monocular is ideal for hunting, search and rescue etc.
