Ballistically, the use of silencers has no impact when using normal hunting ammunition - the effect of the bullet remains the same. The perception of the surroundings is also not affected. Silencers reduce recoil as well as noise at the source. This protects the surrounding area (e.g. Jagdhunde) from noise damage. They reduce the muzzle flash almost completely, so that the pattern and direction of flight of the game can be better perceived in poor light. Before firing the weapon, the silencer should always be removed to avoid damage to the manifolds. Penetrating oils are recommended for cleaning and preserving silencers. High-temperature-resistant greases are useful for caring for the threads.
