Information about the author Alexander Losert
Alexander Losert became interested in the Second World War early on.
After graduating from high school, he was drawn to the Bundeswehr. After military service in the Air Force, the task at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen from 2004 to 2009 was to complete an academic career. The subjects were political science, sociology and modern history. At the end of the day there was a master’s degree with a thesis on the “theory of totalitarianism”.
Losert then went on to work as a trainee at the Bauer Media Group, where he learned the trade of journalism. He then worked for a military magazine whose core is recent German history. Here he was able to fully contribute his knowledge and develop further. After the magazine was sold, Alexander Losert took on the position of Editor-in-Chief and Product Manager and stayed there until the magazine was relaunched. Then it was time for a change.
Having grown up in a hunting and rifle household, this matter was always omnipresent. In addition to the Second World War per se, the aspect of technology and especially weapon technology was an important sub-topic when dealing with this time. For the next few years, Alexander Losert worked for a well-known firearms magazine, where he was able to contribute his historical and professional knowledge.
He is currently working for a well-known arms dealer in Bavaria, writes books and specialist articles on the side and otherwise devotes himself to another great passion: hunting.
