The DF 12 is a modern, semi-automatic shotgun with a gas system.

It features an all-weather chrome-plated drilled steel barrel and a tactical pistol grip stock. A soft rubber recoil pad reduces the recoil after the shot is fired. Picatinny rails were attached to the breech housing, which allow the mounting of optionally available accessories. The sighting is done by rear sight and front sight, both of which can be adjusted. The weapon's other features also include a muzzle protector and sling swivel.

Steel shot can be fired from the gun with the choke inserts up to 1/2 cylinder.

The DF 12 is delivered in a robust and padded case.
