The AllWeather Jacket 365 is a so-called hardshell jacket - a highly technical rain jacket - designed for the most adverse weather conditions. This jacket is also the stormproof final layer in the 5-layer system of MerkelGEAR. Whether it's wind or heavy rain: this highly breathable bad weather jacket protects against all the rigors Mother Nature has to offer! The aim of the development was a minimalist design, contemporary, sustainable features and a long product lifespan.
The “365 AllWeather” avoids all unnecessary seams in order to remain waterproof even after years. In addition, an above-average robust outer material made of 100% recycled 75D polyester was chosen, which easily follows every movement thanks to 10% elastane. The extremely powerful membrane is protected by a 40D nylon backing. In addition, the outer fabric has an environmentally friendly DWR coating (PFC & PFOA free) that allows water to simply roll off.
Particularly stressed areas have been reinforced: the elbows are lined with extremely abrasion-resistant Strongflex® trim, which is made up of cross-elastic Cordura-Nylon® and Dyneema®. The extended rear of the jacket is also reinforced so that the sensitive membrane is not damaged when sitting on hard surfaces for hours.
If you need a kind of life insurance for extreme expeditions in the northern hemisphere, the 365 AllWeather jacket is a good choice. If it gets cold, you can put up to four layers underneath and face every storm calmly. The 3.5-layer construction of the outer fabric is specifically tailored to the needs of hunters: robust, as quiet as possible (although a durable rain jacket can never be 100% quiet), 100% waterproof and very breathable. There are water-repellent ventilation zippers in the armpit area and the robust main zipper is a strong 2-way Aquaguard® zipper from YKK®.
The 365 AllWeather jacket features: a large, 3-way adjustable drop-away storm hood with a stiffened peak. 2 spacious chest pockets with optical cleaning cloth, 2 very large semi-Napole style handwarmer pockets that allow water to drain due to their position at the elbows and 2 spacious inside pockets. The cuffs are made of rubberized fabric cuffs, which can be used to close the sleeves around the handcuffs in a rainproof manner. The jacket waistband can be adjusted, and the significantly extended rear of the 365 AllWeather jacket reliably keeps water away from the waistband.
