The HELIX Infinity Forest reversible jacket from MERKEL GEAR is a windproof fleece jacket with two sides, as it corresponds to today's drive hunt zeitgeist. However, the above-average strong fleece quality of the jacket and the innovative cut make the "HELIX jacket" an unusual piece of clothing that appeals to active hunters in particular.
The fleece quality used is around 30% stronger and therefore significantly more durable than usual, the anti-pilling values of the fleece fabric are excellent. In combination with the windproof and highly water-repellent WND-X membrane, the result is an extremely functional fabric construction for 365 days in the hunting ground. The backpack suitability of the jacket was important to the entire development team, which is why raglan sleeves were installed whose seams do not pinch when the hunter wears a backpack for longer distances. The cut of the jacket is modern and yet just wide enough to be able to wear the BOREAS jacket made of G-LOFT® underneath, which makes this combination completely winterproof! The lower pockets of the jackets have been set a little higher with their extra-long YKK® zips, so that the pockets can still be used when the wide hip belt of a backpack has been folded over. Another positive side effect: when it rains, the water rolls off the elbows when the hands are in the pockets and does not run into the pockets. In addition, the position of these Napoleon-like pockets is very convenient. The hand warmer pockets have a "divider wall" made of robust stretch fabric that prevents keys and sharp cartridges from migrating into the other pocket.
There are also two breast pockets on each side for dog tracking devices etc. Both pockets can be closed with a so-called "invisible YKK zipper" and are hardly noticeable when closed. Small fabric tabs integrated into the raglan sleeves can be used to secure the long antennas of the GPS devices.
The jacket also has concealed thumb holes, an extra strong elastic band in the waistband and a reflector on the back hem.
