The 2nd generation of the Hybrid Alpinist pants from MERKEL GEAR is designed for active hunting in all weather conditions in medium to cold temperatures. Fit, cut and lining have been revised for the new generation. Thanks to the 25 cm long, strong YKK® ventilation zips, the "HYBRID pants" can also be worn for summer hunts and for mountain hunting on warm autumn days. The special thing about these pants is the unique combination of 100% waterproof (thermally sealed seams) sections - in the front area up to the cargo pockets, rear area up to just below the back of the knees and also the entire seat - and strong, highly breathable 4-way stretch -Zones for maximum freedom of movement. In this way, you are excellently protected against moisture in tall grass, but thanks to the stretch sections, you can perform for a very long time and therefore concentrate. In pure hardshell jackets and pants, you usually sweat most of the year due to the lack of temperature difference to the outside. It doesn't matter which membrane is used, since each membrane requires a temperature difference of around 15C° to function. With the MERKEL GEAR hybrid pants, however, excess heat can escape at the level of the nylon stretch and through the long ventilation zips. The 3.5-layer laminate (37.5™ membrane, 20,000 mm / 20,000 g/m²/24h) installed in the waterproof areas has a low-noise, slightly roughened surface, with the back being lined with fine waffle fleece, with excess along its structure heat is dissipated. The seat of the MERKEL GEAR hybrid trousers is made from the ultra-strong and waterproof Oxford trim material (37.5™ membrane, 20,000 mm / 20,000 g/sqm) already known from the MNTN and WNTR trousers. The stretch areas above the front waterproof trimmings and at the level of the back of the knees consist of a highly breathable, cross-elastic and very robust 4-way stretch nylon fabric. An improved DWR finish lets water roll off and if the stretch does get wet, it dries very quickly. A large number of useful details paired with the further improved MaxComfort waistband system, a modern cut and innovative integral seams on the cargo pockets result in pants that are second to none: extended kidney protection at the back, strong belt loops, stretch waistband with a wide silicone coating to prevent slipping. With integrated, soft mounts for the optionally available braces.
