We proudly present the second generation of the popular ILEX district work trousers: the ILEX Pro. The search for a fabric that could compete with the robust three-wire Panama of its predecessor took almost a year. It was important to have a slightly lower fabric weight while maintaining as much robustness as possible so that the trousers could also be worn in warm countries - in other words, quite ambitious ideas. The manufacturer finally found what they were looking for in the Cordura® NYCO fabrics, which were virtually unknown in Europe and were developed for the tactical and workwear sector and are around three times more robust than conventional cotton fabrics. The ILEX Pro's fabric weighs an impressive 270g/m² and consists of 75% high-quality cotton and 25% Cordura® nylon (T420 nylon military standard). The result is extreme strength, very high abrasion resistance and an extremely comfortable feel on the skin. In addition, the ILEX Pro has an improved DWR finish that allows water to roll off without compromising breathability. The rather conservative design of the old ILEX has been completely revised: a new cut, innovative lines and even improved seam standards should not disappoint fans of the old ILEX, but at the same time also appeal to younger hunters. All particularly stressed seams are now designed as triple seams; Most horizontal seams point downwards to prevent water from attacking. As always at Merkel GEAR very comfortable MaxComfort waistband has been slightly revised and, in addition to a semi-automatic zipper, has received two additional belt loops. Two side pockets offer plenty of space with really deep and robust pocket sacks at the front; At the back there is a back pocket with a sturdy YKK® zipper. Two integrally stitched cargo pockets with YKK® zippers nestle inconspicuously on the thighs, but at the same time offer plenty of storage space. The right cargo pocket has an integrated nap pocket. All zippers are particularly quiet and have no jingling metal parts. The knees of the ILEX Pro are triple pre-shaped for a natural fit. As with the MNTN II, the particularly stressed inner seams in the hem area were moved outwards in a shark fin shape. A discreet logo embroidery on the right side of the leg and on the left side of the cargo pocket completes the image of the new ILEX Pro, which, with an excellent price/performance ratio, has truly presentable features for tough everyday life on the territory!
