The Merkel K5 is trimmed for dynamic elegance - and yet 100 percent functional. The newly defined line of the rifle stretches from the buttstock to the forearm, which is elongated with fine rosewood, to the particularly slim receiver and the 17 mm slim and fluted barrel, like a big cat in jump.

Ingenious technology with a new look and feel: The tilting block is extremely short and locks MerkelTypical steel on steel. Technical sophistication, a new line of stock, action and barrel as well as refined functionality: All in all, a rifle with a net weight of just 2.3 kilograms and in a wide range of dimensions.

The removable tilting block lock is the heart of the K5: It locks steel on steel, is extremely light, short and safe. The titanium-nitrided breech block can be removed, meaning the weapon can no longer be fired quickly and easily. The single-lock system with removable hunter tilt block closure has a separate hand tension.

The new hand tension works completely silently and is even easier to use - almost no force is required in the finger. The revised trigger system is adjustable in length and side. With a trigger weight of only 600 g and a wider blade, the titanium-nitrided fine trigger of the Merkel K5 works well with any finger and any hand shape.

The pistol grip, forend and patent catch are elegantly finished with ebony. The stock wood class 4 is designed with removable sling swivels and with a Bavarian cheekpiece and double rebate.

The fluted barrel with a diameter of 17 mm has the removable universal sight i-Sight system with a covered M15x1 muzzle thread. With a single hexagon socket screw, the rear sight and front sight can be removed and the front sight can also be moved back - depending on whether you want to shoot with a silencer, without sights or with a muzzle brake.

The sling swivels are equipped with the new Merkel Speedster equipped and therefore also removable.

Lady DS stocking

Completely new stock in different wood classes, developed specifically for the smaller or female hunter. The stock is not only shorter, but above all straight, with little drop and a high comb that extends the line of sight almost horizontally. The butt plate was adapted to the female anatomy: a steep pistol grip enables relaxed operation of the trigger even with small hands.

By the way, the DS shaft has also been very popular with smaller men since its introduction.
