The new break-barreled rifle Merkel K5: Slimmer, more manageable and, according to Merkel Ticking nicer than their predecessors K3 and K4.

The Merkel K5 is trimmed for dynamic elegance - and yet 100 percent functional. The newly defined line of the rifle stretches from the buttstock with its light pig's back over the forearm, which is extended with fine rosewood, to the 17 mm thick barrel like a big cat in jump.

Ingenious technology with a new look and feel: The tilting block is extremely short and locks MerkelTypical steel on steel. Technical sophistication, a new line of stock, action and barrel as well as refined functionality: All in all, a rifle with a net weight of just 2.3 kilograms and in a wide range of dimensions.

The removable tilting block lock is the heart of the K5: It locks steel on steel, is extremely light, short and safe. The titanium-nitrided breech block can be removed, meaning the weapon can no longer be fired quickly and easily. The single-lock system with removable hunter tilt block closure has a separate hand tension.

The new hand tension works completely silently and is even easier to use - almost no force is required in the finger. The revised trigger system is adjustable in length and side. With a trigger weight of just 600 g and a wider blade, the Merkel K5 works well with any finger and any hand shape.

The pistol grip, forend and patent catch are elegantly finished with ebony. The stock wood class 4 is designed with removable sling swivels and with a Bavarian cheekpiece and double rebate.

The barrels with a diameter of 17 mm have the universal sight i-Sight system with a covered M15x1 muzzle thread. With a single hexagon socket screw, the rear sight and front sight can be removed and the front sight can also be moved back - depending on whether you want to shoot with a silencer, without sights or with a muzzle brake.

The sling swivels are equipped with the new Merkel Helix Speedster equipped and therefore also removable.
