The Helix Forest Lady with the stock specially developed for women is delivered in wood class 4. The stock is not only shorter, but above all straight, with little drop and a high comb that extends the line of sight almost horizontally. The butt plate was adapted to the female anatomy. A steep pistol grip allows relaxed operation of the trigger even with small hands. The weapon has a standard barrel with a muzzle thread for attaching a silencer or muzzle brake.

SHOOTER SAFETY
Security is the good feeling of being able to hunt without any worries - because the rifle itself offers the best conditions for security. The helix lock is a further development of the classic rotating head lock - no other principle locks repeating rifles more securely. At the Merkel RX Helix combines the rotating head bolt with the helix principle to create a linear repeater. The closure is encapsulated at the back for additional security and to prevent contamination.

UNINTENDED SHOT FIRING
The hand tensioner of the RX Helix is located on the piston neck. He only puts the system under tension with the pressure of his thumb immediately before the shot - and it can be relaxed again just as easily.

SAFE FUNCTION
Manual tensioner systems sometimes suffer from an ignition energy deficit. A patented hammer system with a joint-driven hammer was developed for the RX Helix, which delivers maximum ignition energy: for a safe release of the shot.

LINEAR REPEATING
Repeating at the ready is the supreme discipline of quick follow-up shots. The RX Helix masters this discipline masterfully.
The Merkel RX Helix combines the rotating head lock with real linear repeating at the stop - without the slightest annoying turning or tilting movement as with other straight-pull repeating rifles. The eye remains on target, the bolt handle is exactly above the trigger. The straight shaft in the tradition of Merkel African rifles give this movement the necessary support.

TRANSLATED STRAIGHT
The linear movement of the bolt handle is transmitted to the bolt head in a ratio of 1:2. It moves smoothly and quietly into the lock in a special helix track system - and out again. The repeating path is translated: fastest repeating guaranteed. This benefits faster target acquisition and thus precise follow-up shots.

STAY ON TARGET
When repeating, the bolt does not move beyond the neck of the stock towards the shooter's eye, which disrupts aiming in conventional systems. With the helix system, the movement only takes place within the system housing. The eye remains undisturbed on the target. Now the second shot: Triggered by a finely adjustable direct trigger with a dry characteristic - that's real ergonomics.

TAKE DOWN
The RX Helix is the first rifle designed not just for hunting, but also for getting there. Merkel defines a new quality of take down. BOLT BARREL SYSTEM
The revolution is underway. The Bolt Barrel System is behind the perfected Merkel take down: Barrel, bolt head and system are connected by a coupling mechanism that can be released with a single lever - without tools.

DEFINITE SAFETY
The Bolt Barrel System is ideal for permanently securing the rifle. The bolt head is barely more than the size of a walnut and can be stored in your pocket - the rifle is thus safely protected against unauthorized use.

EASY TO CLEAN
Cleaning the barrel and bolt is also child's play thanks to the Bolt Barrel System: remove the barrel, unscrew the bolt head - all parts are easily accessible and easy to clean.

i-Sight system
A driven hunt sight that always suits the hunting situation: also with an overbarrel silencer. The muzzle thread is increasingly becoming standard equipment on repeating rifles: the silencer and muzzle brake are fixed to it. For many hunters' universal rifles, however, this often means restrictions on the classic rear sight - the front sight gets in the way when, for example, an overbarrel silencer needs to be screwed on. As standard, the i-Sight front sight is mounted in the front of the two barrel drill holes and can easily be moved back if necessary when the muzzle thread is used. In addition, the rear sight and front sight can also be completely removed.

Assembly
Target optics can be attached very easily and inexpensively. The top of the locking sleeve is designed as a Weaver rail. The target optics can be removed and put back on in two easy steps without changing the point of impact. The eye relief can be varied (e.g. winter or summer clothing) by changing into one of the two rear cross-studs of the Weaver prism.
