The new Merkel HLX Suppressor by B&T is a hunting silencer in .30 / 7.62 mm or 9.3 mm caliber that is practically unique in its class.

Instead of standard inserts or steel wool, this new silencer uses star screens. These three-dimensional milled aluminum parts were developed for the government sector, where silencers have to withstand a lot more than in the normal hunting sector. That was exactly the goal that Merkel has settled down - a silencer that is not only suitable for sporadic shots in the area, but also for rapid sequences of shots on driven hunts and in the shooting cinema.

In collaboration with the silencer specialist B&T (Thun, Switzerland), a silencer concept was created that delivers exactly that - high resilience with dimensions that are practical for hunting. The HLX Suppressor is certified to last 30 shots under normal conditions in a shooting theater before it has to be cooled down to room temperature again. It also reduces recoil when firing.
