Given the growing preference of shooters to equip their weapons with red dot sights - be it for personal defense, recreational shooting or competition - brings Taurus In 2021 the G3 series pistols with TORO (Taurus Optic Ready Option) join the league of Optics Ready models.

The TORO series slides feature a factory cutout so that a red dot sight can be added. In addition, the TORO system is suitable for a wide range of available optics thanks to a sophisticated mounting system with interchangeable plates.

The scope of delivery includes 4 different plates that are suitable for the following optics:

• Plate 1: Docter, Noblex, Vortex Venom, Buris Fastfire, Sightmark Mini.

• Plate 2: Trijicon RMR®, Holosun, HS407C.

• Plate 3: C-More STS2.

• Plate 4: Leupold, Delta Point, Bushnell, RXS-250.

The G3 continues the proven polymer frame profile, now in a full frame configuration, with generous knobs on the grip for maximum control and grip in any shooting situation and memory pads on the grips that allow for quick, positive hand positioning.

The frame has an integrated Picatinny rail. The manual safety and the slide stop lever are optimally positioned above the thumb for easy operation at all times. A clever element of the G3 is the 6-pound trigger, which exceeds the performance of the trigger of a typical striker-fired pistol. A short reset distance promotes quick, controlled follow-up shots. The sighting system includes an adjustable steel rear sight along with a white dot steel front sight.
