Pistol Walther PDP F-Series - the first handgun designed specifically for the female hand structure. Certainly the "F" stands for "female" in the model designation "F-Series".
The new "F-Series" models of the Walther Performance Duty Pistol (PDP) in 9 mm caliber were specially developed to meet the needs of female shooters. The new "F-Series" is designed from the ground up to adapt to the ergonomics of a woman's hand. Special features include reduced slide force, smaller grip circumference and closer trigger spacing.
In detail, Walther has developed a completely new operating system through the use of a two-part firing pin, which leads to a 20% reduction in the slide retraction force and thus requires less force for handling the weapon - because the slide retraction often poses problems for female shooters when handling the weapon.
The trigger of the "F-Series" has also been relocated in such a way that every hand and every trigger finger immediately finds the right place: The improved "PDT" performance duty trigger system has been improved by shortening the trigger travel and providing an improved, more tactile definition of the pressure point is reached.
And last but not least, the reduced grip circumference and the changed grip angle of the pistols are ideal for typically smaller women's hands. This allows for a higher grip on the weapon and thus improved recoil control.
The Walther PDP F-Series pistols are available in two barrel lengths - the compact model with a 3.5" barrel and a variant with a 4" barrel, both with the same grip and a magazine capacity of 15 rounds.
