Original 98 systems are handcrafted in the FRANKONIA Gunsmith factory revised and assembled into modern repeating rifles. The S22 model is characterized by a particularly soft lock action.

In addition, the weapon has a shotgun trigger with a steel casing of Recknagel, which ensures flawless functionality thanks to its durable and reliable construction.

An extended bolt handle with a large, removable ball also ensures quick and reliable repeating. In addition, a permanently installed box magazine offers capacity for 5 cartridges.

The lateral 3-position safety from Recknagel fulfills an additional protective function and, thanks to its positioning, is ideal for using very low scope mounts. The rifle is already equipped with a Picatinny rail for this purpose.

Using plastic, the ergonomic perforated shaft with a soft-touch coating is not only particularly robust and insensitive, but above all also offers comfortable and safe handling.

Equipped with the i-Sight system from Merkel, in combination with a muzzle thread M15x1, the shooter is offered numerous options. This makes it possible to use a silencer or a muzzle brake together with the rear sight and front sight, as well as attaching a muzzle strap bracket. In the front area of the 47 cm long barrel made of special steel from Lothar Walther Drill holes are available that allow the i-Sight front sight to be moved easily.

In addition, Halder Slim sling swivels can be attached for quick rifle sling changes.
